Brooks Aylor, Ph.D.
When not on campus, Brooks enjoys spending quality time with his two terriers, Rudy (Cairn) and Simon (Westie).

Brooks earned his M.A. and B.A. in Communication and Theatre Arts at Arkansas State University, before completing his doctoral degree at University of Arizona in Tucson.

At La Salle, Brooks is very active in teaching, campus service, and research. He teaches communication theory, public speaking, debate, interpersonal communication, and organizational communication. He is director of the Public Speaking Program, serving students across majors. He also served as the founding advisor for the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and advisor for Young Playwrights. His research interests include instructional and interpersonal communication. Brooks has been published in Communication Monographs, Western Journal of Communication, Communication Education, Communication Quarterly, Communication Studies, Communication Research Reports, Communication Teacher, and is the author or co-author of several book chapters.
