Tony is the department's internship co-ordinator.
| A
graduate of La Salle College in 1969, Tony went on to establish
a creative and productive career in industrial communication, working
as the Manager of Communication Programming for SmithKline Beckman,
Corp. for ten years. In this position, he was responsible for the
corporation's major meeting programming and production. Eventually,
those duties included all of the television and multimedia corporate
productions.
In
1985, Tony left SmithKline to form Comprehensive Communication
Services, Inc. CCS, Inc. now provides major meeting production
and programming support for all its corporate clients which, have
included major pharmaceutical coporations such as Armor Pharmaceutical,
Aventis Pharmaceuticals, Carter Wallace, Centocor, McNeil Pharmaceuticals,
Merck & Co., Ortho Pharmaceuticals, Stuart Pharmaceuticals,
and UpJohn, to name a few.
He
has produced multi-media programs for Fortune 500 companies and
has won several awards such as The Golden Hugo and the Silver
Screen Award at the Industrial Film Festival, and the Excellence
in Creativity Award from the Television and Radio Advertising
Club of Philadelphia.
He
eventually earned his Master of Arts degree from Ohio University,
while in addition, attending the Wharton Management Program at
the University of Pennsylvania. As an artist, he also sharpened
his fine arts painting abilities, studying at the Tyler School
of Art at Temple University.
Today,
he continues to combine his teaching of audio and video production
with his professional productions for various corporations. Such
a mix serves our internship students well, as he currently serves
as the department's Internship Coordinator. In this capacity,
he is able to guide and direct our students with the voice of
experience both in and out of the classroom.
