| Andrea M. Pampaloni, Ph.D. Assistant Professor Andrea is a native of the Jersey shore area and enjoys spending her free time at the beach. Andrea earned her Ph.D from Rutgers University, her M.A. from American University, and her B.A. from Montclair State College. Before coming to La Salle, Andre taught at Rutgers, Montclair State, and William Paterson University. She also has extensive work experience in corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors. Andrea has taught classes in organizational communication; interpersonal communication; communication theory; communication and conflict; public speaking; communication and information; mass media; and research methods. Her primary areas of interest are organizational and interpersonal communication, and her current research explores how decentralized organizational functions affect organizations. She also and is looking at the effectiveness of college and university open house programs as a means of attracting potential students. Andrea has had two teaching activities published in Teaching Ideas for the Basic Communication Course, Volume 10 (2007). In addition, she sits on the executive board of the New Jersey Communication Association (NJCA), and is a charter member of The Stevens Communications Board of Advisors at Stevens Institute of Technology. She also holds membership with National Communication Association (NCA), International Communication Association, Eastern Communication Association (ECA), and the Academy of Management (AOM).
