In 2003, senior Communication major Derek Moench became the recipient of two film awards and the star of a newspaper article.

His movie, Computer Love, won "Best College Animated Film" in the Bucks Fever FilmFest 2003, the 3rd Annual Juried Competition for Short Films and Video contest. He then took home the number one prize in the G-Fan Magazine's G-Fest '02, which is dedicated to everything Godzilla, for another movie entitled Godzilla Flick.

In addition, Jan Lipes of the Bucks County Herald wrote, "This is a story of love between a computer and a college student…and it is a good example of the offerings at the Bucks Fever FilmFest 2003," in her article, Who Knows Where That Film Name Will Go. Technically the article is about all the FilmFest contest winners, but Computer Love occupies nearly half the article.
