Here's
a look at what some members of the Class of 2004 have to look
forward to after graduation:
After
four years as an officer, key technician and sometimes performer
for the Masque, Matt DeMizio will continue his preparation
for a theater career by attending the graduate theater program
for his master's degree at Villanova University.
A
dual major in Biology and Communication with an emphasis on human
communication, Dave DiGiovanni has been accepted by Jefferson
University's School of Medicine for its program in Physical Therapy.
An officer in Lambda Pi Eta, the Communication Honor Society,
Dave was the 2002 recipient of the Edward Hogan, Esq. Award for
academic excellence.
WEXP
broadcaster and Communication Honor Society member Justin Leo
was accepted by Chapman University (Orange, CA) for graduate studies
in film and writing.
Collegian
editors Tom Namako and Tim McManus have been accepted
into the graduate journalism program at Columbia University. They
received that good news in the midst of a class trip to visit
the New York offices of Associated Press and to meet with President
and CEO, Thomas Curley '70. In the afternoon, the group gathered
at the headquarters of Inc. magazine and were greeted by
editor Loren Feldman. During the lunch break, Tom called his house
and had his mom open the envelope with the acceptance. Tim then
followed suit. Both Communication majors were also accepted at
University of Missouri, while Tim got in Northwestern and Tom
into the programs at Syracuse and NYU.
La
Salle 56 crewmember Justin Sieck has accepted a position
with Metro Networks as Traffic Producer.
Having
volunteered her help during the political campaigns of Edward
Rendell, Al Gore, and Joe Hoeffel, Lauren Wojcik now moves
on to graduate study at the Widener University School of Law in
Harrisburg, PA.
