In order to minor in Communication, you must complete six courses. The department offers five proposed minors

The General Com minor offers a wide range of study of the Communication field.

  • COM 150 - - Public Speaking
  • COM 101 - - Intro to Mass Media
    OR
    COM 102 - - Interpersonal Communication
  • 2 of any 200-level COM courses*
  • 2 of any 300 or 400-level courses*
    * At least one course must be a writing course (206, 302, 303, 306, 337, 357);
    Students must meet pre-requisites for courses & may not take 400/401.

The Mass Com minor focuses on the broadcast media of radio and television.
