Internships

Our internship and cooperative education programs give La Salle students an important edge when it comes time to search for that first job after graduation. We have recently created a new database that makes it easier than ever to search internships.

Internship Eligibility:

To be eligible for an internship under the Communication department's internship program, students have to meet the following requirements:

  • Be a Junior or Senior Communication Major
  • Have a 2.75 GPA Overall
  • Work at an internship site for 15 to 20 hours per week over the course of the semester
  • Have the internship site approved by the internship coordinator
  • Enroll in COM 461

To receive credit for the internship program, students must complete the following assignments:

  • Journals – Every few weeks throughout the semester, students must submit a record of their work in the internship (the timeline is predetermined by the semester calendar)
  • Final Report – A summary of what the student has accomplished in the internship
Supervisor Evaluation – The internship supervisor will complete a midterm and final evaluation of your work
