The DNP Program at La Salle University has a strong practice component with access to environments that provide opportunities for knowledge and skill development. Students may enroll in the program on a part-time (3 credits/semester) or full-time (6 credits or more/semester) basis or may vary their status in consultation with the Program Director. The curriculum includes an extensive practice immersion. The capstone project, an important requirement evidencing student expertise, is a practice-application. Students will attend classes scheduled in a cohort style. DNP students must complete a minimum of 1,000 hours of post baccalaureate clinical practice supervised by preceptors. Curricular plans are individualized to satisfy the learning needs of students with greater than 750 precepted clinical hours within their MSN programs of study.
