Kathryn A. Szabat is a full-time faculty member of the Management Department at LaSalle University, where she is responsible for the teaching of undergraduate and graduate Business Statistics courses. Dr. Szabat received her Ph.D. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania; her cognate field concentration is in Operations Research.

Dr. Szabat's professional interests include consulting. She has provided statistical advice to numerous business institutions as well as to individuals within academic environments. Dr. Szabat's most recent research involves assessment of nonprofit technical assistance, with emphasis on the effectiveness of strategic planning practices in nonprofit organizations. She has presented several papers on the topic in conjunction with her activities at LaSalle's Nonprofit Management Development Center.
