Instructions

All faculty who conduct research at La Salle University must submit proposals for review by the IRB according to the federal guidelines.

This includes faculty who believe that their research falls under the exempt or expedited categories. Please click on definitions for a list of definitions related to the IRB process. The required forms are available through the "Forms" link. The forms and information that must be included are:

Five (5) copies of the following for a full review.
One (1) copy of the following for exempt or expedited review.
A completed application consists of the following documents:

1. IRB Application (click here to access forms)
2. Consent form for participation in research
3. Copies of the scales/measures/procedures the participants will be asked to fill-out/perform.
4. Brief resume or biographical sketch of primary investigator(s)

These materials should be submitted to the Chair of the IRB:

Once submitted, materials will be circulated among the committee members and will be discussed at the next IRB meeting. At that point either a decision will be rendered or more information will be requested.
