International Management Seminar
Mexico City - 2006


Overview

We are offering this exciting course for the Spring 2006 semester. It will meet on 7 Thursday evenings at Main Campus (TBA) and it will include a travel component during Spring Break to Mexico City. The travel dates are March 2nd through March 11th 2006. We will be flying from Philadelphia on Delta Airlines and will be staying at the Hotel Maria Cristina in Mexico City.

The focus of the course is on International Management issues between Mexico and the United States. Some of the activities include intercultural business training, visits to various international companies and organizations engaged in Business between the United States and Mexico.

We have partnered with La Salle University - Mexico for support with this course. Some of the cultural activities are expected to include visits to the Basilica of Guadalupe, the Pyramids of Teotihuacan, Coyoacan, Friada Kahlo Museum, Leon Trotsky Museum, Museum of Anthropologogy, Chapultepec Castle and Ballet Folkloriko.

The cost of the trip will be $1,850 for travel fees plus tuition for three credits. This will include lodging, all breakfasts, several lunches and a group dinner. Accommodations and transportation are arranged by the MBA office.

Participating students are required to complete a term paper and a team-based research paper for three (3) graduate credits. This course fulfills a Management or International Business Specialization requirement or can be used as an elective for other specializations. The course is also offered for post graduate credit.
