Identification Cards

Your ID card identifies you as a member of the LaSalle University community. This card has enabled the University to develop a "one

  • card" system with the goal of improving access and services for the safety and convenience of the University community.Your LaSalle ID card is the property of LaSalle University, and must be carried by you at all times, and is nontransferable. Your card must be presented and/or surrendered upon demand by a university official. Acceptance of this card commits the cardholder to abide by Campus rules and regulations.

    Your University ID card should be treated with care. Holes, creases, cuts and improperly applied stickers will render the card inoperable. Please do not leave the card in direct sunlight, near heat sources or in contact with magnetic fields. Because your identification card will also access your residence hall, academic building, meal plan and Gold Card account, you will need to safeguard it at all times.

    You are eligible for a LaSalle ID card if you are one of the following:
    University faculty/staff
    Retired faculty/staff
    Registered student (Graduate and Undergraduate, full time and part time)

    How Do I Get an ID Card:
    Any eligible Student, Faculty or Staff member may obtain an ID card by stopping by the ID office during office hours.

    Freshman will be scheduled for ID photos during “Day One” activities. The IDs will be ready when Day One participants return to school in the Fall semester.

    If you do not attend Day One, please come to the office and complete an information data card. Your picture will be taken and you will be issued an ID promptly.

    Other forms of Identification may be requested.

    ID Card Cost:
    There is no initial cost to obtain a LaSalle University Identification Card.

    However, there is a replacement fee of $ 5 if the card is lost, deliberately damaged or damaged through negligence.

  • malfunctioning or accidentally damaged ID cards will be replaced free of charge when presented to ID staff for replacement.

     

    ID Card Uses:
    Your LaSalle ID is your personal identification and should be with you at all times. Your ID card can be used for the following:
    Access to student residence halls
    Access to academic buildings (with approval)
    Student meal plan
    Gold Card account
    Access to athletic facilities
    Access to athletic events
    Library borrowing and copying

    Lost or Stolen Cards:
    If your ID card is lost or stolen during normal business hours, you may go to the ID Gold Card Office to get a replacement card.

    If your card is lost or stolen after normal business hours or on the weekend, please notify Campus Security of this matter immediately at 215

    It is imperative that you contact campus police immediately as your ID card can be used to access your residence hall, an academic building and Gold Card account. The ID system does not allow for the reactivating of old cards. When a card is lost or stolen, the old card is deactivated and a new card will be issued to you.

     

    Access Control:
    All Identification Card Access request require the approval of the Director of Security and Safety.

    Under most circumstances, Department Heads may make these requests via e

  • mail.

    The e

  • mail request should contain information that answers the following questions: who (name the individual who should be given access; where (department location); when (time period access is desired) and why (state the business need).

    The Director of Security and Safety will forward all approved request to the I.D. Gold Card Manager for activation.

     

    Gold Card Account:
    The Gold Card account is an account, which is activated on the student ID card. This debit card program at LaSalle is called Gold Card. This account may be opened at any time and is done so by contacting the Bursar's Office in person, by mail or telephone.

    The minimum deposit is $ 50 to open an account. There is a $10 application fee, which will be deducted from the initial deposit.

    There are no other fees for this account. Deposits may be made at any time and for any amount once the account is opened.

    The Bursar is the only office that can accept funds for the Gold Card account. The Bursar's Office accepts cash, checks, or any major credit card for deposits. To make a deposit by telephone contact the Bursar's Office at 215

    Change of Status with the University:
    When your registration expires or your employment is terminated, your ID card is no longer valid.

    ID cards remain the property of LaSalle University and must be surrendered to the University upon request. If your status changes and you have questions concerning a Gold Card account, please contact the ID/Gold Card office at 215

    Bucks County Campus:
    ID photos are taken at the beginning of each semester at the Bucks County Campus. Completed identification cards are returned to Bucks and may be obtained at the security information desk.

    Gwynedd

  • Mercy Campus:
    ID photos are taken at the beginning of each semester at Gwynedd
  • Mercey Campus. The IDs are returned within one week to the LaSalle MBA office at GMC. The ID card for GMC is unique in that it will allow the student to access both the LaSalle University campus library and the GMC library.
