Optional Meal Plans

Tired of grocery shopping, cooking and dirty pots/pans in the sink? Sick of your roommate always eating the food you bought and prepared? Or maybe you’ve had your fill of soggy pizza and unsatisfying take-out. I’ll bet until now you felt there weren’t any alternatives … well think again !!! There are several options available to you.

Students that will live in St Miguel Townhouse,
Teresa Court, or La Salle apartments or students that commute can participate in any of the required meal plans offered.

They also have the following optional meal plans available:

Weekly Meal Plans
-5 Meal Plan
plus $50

“Block” Meal Plans
-Block of 50 Meal Plan plus $150
-Block of 75 Meal Plan plus $100

The meal plans offered at La Salle University are comprised of three components:

-Meals
-Special Food Account
-Guest Meals

5 Meal Plan
This meal plan provides you with 5 meals per week. You can only eat one meal per meal period. Unused meals do not carry over from one week to the next. This meal plan also has $50 in a Special Food Account. The advantage of this meal plan is that it assists the student with budgeting their meals throughout the semester. With a pre-set weekly meal plan you will always have a fresh balance of 5 meals at the start of a new week. This meal plan also provides 3 Guest Meal passes per semester.

BLOCK MEAL PLANS

A new concept and specifically designed for the student that only occasionally eats in the dining halls. A “Block” meal plan provides you with a specific number of meals that can be used throughout the semester. You start with either 50 or 75 meals and each time you eat in Blue & Gold or Treetops Cafe your available meal balance will be reduced by one.

Some weeks you may decide to eat 12 meals and other weeks 6 … it’s entirely up to you to decide how and when you will use the meals. With the Block Meal Plan you are not issued a weekly meal balance like the 5 Meal Plan, instead you are given a meal balance that is good for the entire semester!

Meals left in your Block Meal plan at the end of the Fall semester will carry over to the Spring semester provided you enroll in the same Block Meal Plan for the Spring semester.

The Block Meal Plans also offer Special Food Account which will permit you to purchase food on an ala carte basis in the Food Court and Café Metro (our restaurant).

There are two Block Meal Plans:

Block of 50 Meal Plan
You will be issued 50 meals at the start of the semester. As you eat a meal in either Blue & Gold Dining or Treetops Cafe this balance will be reduced by one. You will also receive $150 in a Special Food Account that will permit you to purchase food on an ala carte basis. The “Block of 50” Meal Plan also provides you with 3 Guest Meals.

Block of 75 Meal Plan
You will be issued 75 meals at the start of the semester. As you eat a meal in either Blue & Gold Dining or Treetops Cafe this balance will be reduced by one. You will also receive $100 in a Special Food Account that will permit you to purchase food on an ala carte basis. The “Block of 75” Meal Plan also provides you with 3 Guest Meals.
