Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Counselor Educator

Description of Position/Duties:
The La Salle University Alcohol and Other Drugs Education Center within the Counseling and Health Services Unit of the Division of Student Affairs is seeking a full time, 10 month Alcohol and Other Drugs Counselor Educator. The AODEC Counselor Educator will have responsibility for the planning and implementation of campus alcohol and other drugs (AOD) and other health related prevention, education and early intervention services. Duties include implementation of the Alternate Sanctions Program including, but not limited to, the Alcohol Awareness and Risk Assessment Projects, facilitating trainings and presentations requested through the Alcohol and Other Drugs Education Center, serving as the staff advisor to the LaSalle PEER Educators, maintenance of clinical records and appropriate documentation, collaboration with the live-in undergraduate and professional staff, participation on University or division committees or teams, attendance at Division of Student Affairs staff development activities.

Education and Experience Desired/Required: Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Counseling, Health Education, Public Health or other related field and at least one year of relevant post-graduate degree work experience. Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered. CAC and experience in higher education preferred.  Supervisory experience with graduate interns and/or peer educators desired. Some evening and weekend hours required.
