The Office of University Advancement seeks applicants for a full time Assistant Director.
The Assistant Director of University Events is responsible for providing assistance in planning, coordinating and managing the logistics for events sponsored by members of the internal community of the University. Clients include athletics, academic and non-academic departments.
This position is responsible for interfacing and coordinating numerous departments on campus to execute events including: food services, administrative services, registrar, physical plant, athletics, multimedia services and security. It also assists with future growth development of University Events Department including event calendars, client services, computerization, cost consolidation, budgeting and campus wide initiative to increase overall quality of events.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 years of event experience. Strong customer service, organizational and communication skills are imperative. Must be able to multi-task and interface well with many different departments. Ability to work evenings and weekends whenever dictated by event schedule.
