Position Description:
The Department of Sociology, Social Work and Criminal Justice at La Salle University in Philadelphia invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2010. We seek candidates who can contribute to our core classes in our criminal justice and sociology programs. Faculty members are expected to maintain an active program of scholarship as well as participate in academic and service activities. A Ph.D. is required for this position.
Qualifications:
Applications should include: (1) a curriculum vita; (2) a letter of application which includes a statement of educational philosophy, teaching experience, and research interests; (3) evidence of teaching effectiveness; (4) sample of scholarship; (5) three letters of recommendation sent under separate cover; and (6) graduate transcripts.
