Procedure for Requests for Reasonable Accommodation
Some important information about your rights and responsibilities for students
with disabilities preparing for postsecondary education from the U.S. Department
of Education can be found at edu.gov on the Office for Civil Rights Website
The University will reasonably accommodate a qualified individual with a disability, provided the accommodation does not impose an undue burden on the University. Reasonable accommodations cannot be made unless the individual with a disability identifies him/herself as a person with a covered disability and provides the appropriate certification and documentation. All requests for reasonable accommodation by students and employees should be made directly to Ms. Rose Lee Pauline, Assistant Vice President for Business Affairs and Affirmative Action Officer, Suite 102, Administration Center, La Salle University, Philadelphia, PA, 19141.
For purposes of considering a request for reasonable accommodation, the following definitions apply:
Reasonable accommodations are made on a case by case basis and may include, for example, moving programs or activities into an accessible building; or modifications to perform essential duties of the job; or providing qualified interpreters; or appropriate adjustment of training materials; or adjustments to examinations.
