Connecting to La Salle ResNet Wireless Network

These instructions are intended to be complete. You should find that many of the configuration settings are already set correctly on your computer.

 

 

 

 

 

Right click on Wireless Network Icon on the taskbar and select Network and Sharing Center from the menu.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Click on Manage wireless networks.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Click Add.

Click Manually create a network profile.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the Network name: box, enter La Salle Resnet Wireless.

In the Security type: drop down box, choose WPA2-Enterprise.

AES should automatically be selected in the Encryption type: drop down box.

Click Next.

Click Change connection settings.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Click on the Security tab at the top.

Click the Settings… button.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Uncheck Validate server certificate.

Uncheck Enable Fast Reconnect.

Click on the Configure… button.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Uncheck Automatically use my Windows logon name and password.

Click OK.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Click the OK button on the Protected EAP Properties form.

- Click the OK button on Wireless Network Properties form.

- Click the Close button on the Manually connect to a wireless network window.

- Right-click on the wireless icon on your system tray and choose View Wireless Networks.

- Select LaSalle Resnet Wireless from the list and click the Connect button.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Enter your Student username and password.  STUDENT should be entered for the Logon domain.

If you are authenticated successfully, you should now be connected to the wireless network and should follow the procedure to login through Clean Access.  The next time you connect to the wireless network, your computer should automatically reconnect using the username and password previous supplied.
