Employee Tuition Benefits

What is a Faculty/Staff Grant?
A Faculty/Staff Grant is a La Salle University employee benefit that allows employees to pursue a baccalaureate or master's degree at La Salle University.

Who is eligible for the Grant?
All employees who are full-time as of the first day of the semester are eligible for the grant.

How many courses may an employee take per semester?
The grant will cover up to 9 credits per semester for undergraduates and 6 credits for graduate students.

Where may students take courses?
The grant will cover courses taken at La Salle University during the evening and the weekend.

What does the Faculty/Staff grant cover?
The grant will cover tuition and any educationally related fees.

How do I apply for the Faculty/Staff grant?
Interested, eligible employees should apply to and be accepted by a La Salle University program. Once students are accepted, register for classes and receive a bill, they need to complete the Employee Verification Form found on the Financial Aid Forms page of our website. Attach a copy of the semester bill to the Employee Verification Form and forward to the Human Resources Department. Human Resources will confirm eligibility and notify theOffice of Student Financial Services to credit the student's account. This process needs to be followed for each semester in which the student is applying for benefits. If the student adds or drops classes, the Office of Student Financial Services must be notified to adjust the grant.

Are employees eligible for any other financial aid?
Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid through the FAFSA form for additional funds from federal and state sources.
