Licensure: Licensed Psychologist in Pennsylvania
Clinical Interests:
I am dedicated to quality care and strive to provide my patients with the most up-to-date treatment. My clinical expertise is in treating children and adolescents, most specifically with anxiety disorders. In treating children and their families, I rely on a scientist/practitioner model, using theory and empirically validated approaches to guide my treatment program. For childhood disorders, many of the empirically supported treatments are based on a cognitive-behavioral theoretical framework, hence cognitive-behavioral therapy is my model of choice.
Research Interests:
My primary research is in the realm of anxiety disorders and child/family psychology. I am very interested in the prevention and treatment of anxiety disorders. Furthermore, I am interested in understanding the differences in children comorbid with another disorder and possible related variables such as responsiveness to treatment, social behavior patterns, ways of coping, and cognitive distortions/deficiencies.
