Full-time MBA - Testimonials

Kelly Daniel - Class of 2004
Named Outstanding Full-Time MBA Student - 2004
"My time in La Salle University’s Full-Time MBA program
has been a wonderful experience.
LaSalle's one year full-time MBA Program has been a very
enriching experience for me. I have had the opportunity to study
with students from 12 countries during my tenure at LaSalle. Coupled
with our Core Analytical Curriculum, LaSalle accelerates this learning
environment by offering personal development workshops, Cross-cultural
business etiquette seminars, and Experimental Learning. An intellectually
stimulating atmosphere is coupled with an emphasis on personal values,
stretched principals and conceptual exploration. I began to realize
a sliver of this impact while engaging in the two-week European
Seminar during my year of study.
Unique to the program, LaSalle full- time program injects Strategy
and analogous courses in Business Law, Enterprise Leadership and
Group Dynamics. Coinciding with the University emphasis on personal
attention and nurturing relationships, the full-time program offers
assistance in CPA, CMA and other post –graduate accreditation.
Cultural diversity, pioneering intellect and a Global scope creates
an igniting synergy. LaSalle University has truly provided me with
the tools to strike the match. Upon graduation, I will be employed
by ACCENTURE."

“The full-time MBA program of La Salle University helped me
to achieve the career goal I desired and made a change in my life.
As an international student, the experiences I gained in both academic
and social setting have had a profound effect on my life. The faculty
understands the real world business and the needs of the students
in their future career development. You gain real life experience
in La Salle, not just in the classroom. La Salle full-time MBA is
the best choice I made in my life. Upon graduation, I will join
KPMG International. Choose La Salle, choose you future.”

"Two years ago in Beijing, I met the International Programs
Director from the School of Business Administration, who was recruiting
students in China. This meeting changed my life. La Salle’s
FTMBA Program gave me a totally fresh and concrete knowledge of
the REAL business world. The well-balanced structure of the courses
and the great correlations among courses enable me to combine theory
with practice. And at the same time, instead of directly solving
the problems for me, La Salle’s faculty was always willing
to lead me to find my own way. Now, I’m a doctorate candidate
at Temple University, majoring in Statistics. I really cherish my
two years at La Salle and I believe the LaSallian experience will
benefit me for my whole life."

"I am a student in the one year FTMBA Program. I elected to
study abroad at the University of Brighton in the second semester
of my program. While studying at Brighton, I was also able to travel
to France for several weeks with my Brighton class and study there.
Studying abroad influenced my future in more ways than
one: education, career, and personal development. There are many
other ways, but I selected the three most important to share with
you. First, I have always enjoyed learning and the MBA classes I
experienced in Brighton and France helped me to understand there
are many different ways to learn. The structure the classes involved
more independent studying; whereas, La Salle courses emphasize classroom
engagements. This difference allowed me to explore new ways of learning
that prepared me for the future as I pursue my doctorate degree.
Secondly, studying abroad impacted the direction of my career path.
As the world is becoming more global, businesses and employers expect
employees to be aware of the issues affecting the future of their
companies. Therefore, it is important to develop global skills that
allow you to outshine other job candidates when beginning your career.
My professors at La Salle always integrate the international aspect
of “real world business” in my courses; however, sitting
in the meeting rooms of international businesses and learning first
hand from them greatly enhanced this knowledge.
Finally, studying abroad has enhanced my personal development.
Living in another country can be challenging and overwhelming because
you do not know anybody and you are not familiar with the country.
However, this is what I enjoyed most about studying abroad. I gained
new friends from all around the world and explored England, France
and many other countries, too! I have an increased understanding
of my own cultural values and also appreciate the values of other
cultures.
I cannot stress how thankful I am to the FTMBA at La Salle providing
for me the opportunity to study abroad. Of course, it is not always
“picture perfect”, but neither is life and you need
to learn to deal with those obstacles…and what better way
to do it than studying in another country."

I am happy being a member of the dynamic Full-Time MBA community
at LaSalle University! The program provides educational, cultural,
social, and recreational activities designed to create a positive
learning experience, which opens new horizons, ideas, and social
outlets. The LaSalle MBA Program allows its students to find opportunities
to develop their existing skills and to find new skills. Participating
in student organizations especially the MBA Association promotes
the development of social and leadership skills and gives students
the opportunity to meet many people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
One of the goals of La Salle’s MBA is to prepare students
for a diverse and changing world. If you want to advance your career,
La Salle MBA is the right place to go.

"I would like to share with you how La Salle University’s
FTMBA program exposed me to the compelling competitive world of
business. After completing an undergraduate degree in Communications,
I was confused about my career path. I wanted to expand my knowledge
and improve my career prospects; however, I did not have a definite
plan of action. The advisors and faculty at La Salle spent time
meeting with me, discussed various options and collaboratively we
developed an initial lay out for my career, which we improvised
every semester. By the time I was ready to graduate, I had achieved
my final goal, and I was hired as an analyst with PFPC Inc, an investment
firm.
There are not enough schools today that show the genuine caring
and concern that La Salle University shows to their students. Speaking
for international students, sometimes we need a little more"
“Meeting fellow students from around the world allows me to gain experience working in multi-cultural groups. It is preparing me to step into the flattened business world that is emerging. I consider joining La Salle 's Full-Time MBA Program as one of the best career and investment decisions I have ever made.”
