Celebrating 30 Years of Educational Excellence in the Lasallian Tradition
The Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nursing Education Program (WOCNEP) sponsored by La Salle University School of Nursing and Health Sciences is fully accredited by the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurses Society (WOCN) for both its split option (combination of on-site classes and off site clinical preceptorships) and online distance (combination of online distance classes, short clinical immersion days and off-site clinical preceptorships) formats through December 31, 2015. The La Salle WOCNEP offers a state-of-the-art curriculum plus the creative, flexible programming needed by today’s baccalaureate and master’s prepared registered nurses. Upon completion of the program, nurses are eligible to take the Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses Society (WOCN) National Certification Examination.
The La Salle University WOCNEP is offered in two formats:
1. Split Option – offered annually; onsite once weekly classes at Philadelphia campus (easy commuting) with off site clinical preceptorships near to home.
2. Online Distance Education – offered annually; web-based distance learning classes plus three clinical immersion days in Philadelphia per course; off site clinical preceptorships following the two required courses.
