Professional Communication - Admissions Requirements
| To be accepted into the Masters degree program,
a student must present: |

Evidence of successful academic achievement in completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education. The student's record must show a completion of 24 credit hours in any combination of communication, humanities, and social science courses, and an overall “B” average. International students must possess the equivalent of a 4-year Bachelor’s degree. |
• |
Three letters of recommendation from professors and/or supervisors who can address the candidate's ability and motivation for enrolling in the program. |
• |
Acceptable scores on either the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT). Arrangements to take the MAT may be made with the Counseling Center of La Salle University. Information on GRE scheduling is also available from the Counseling Center. This office can be reached at (215) 951-1355. |
• |
The Application for Admission, accompanied by the stipulated application fee made payable to La Salle University. On-line applicants do not have to pay the application fee. |

Students who complete the Professional Communication Certificate with a 3.0 g.p.a. or higher are automatically granted admission to the MA program. They must inform the Graduate Director of their intent to move into the MA program at least one semester in advance.

The Professional Communication Program is open to applicants without regard to age, creed, race, gender, national origin, disability, or sexual orientation. Because oral communication is an integral part of most courses in the program, students must be able to communicate well in English.
