Speech-Language Pathology - Testimonials

Choosing a graduate school can be quite intimidating for an undergraduate student. After touring La Salle University and meeting with staff from the Speech-Language Science-Hearing Program, my decision was made. Applying to La Salle was a good decision to advance my career. Besides the excellent reputation of La Salle, the professors in the SLHS program are very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Speech-Language Pathology. It is very comforting knowing that the professors are there for you and prepare you for the “real world.” La Salle’s program offers an array of clinical practicum experiences, from schools to hospitals including well-known facilities such as Moss and McGee Rehabilitation. Moss Rehabilitation was an excellent clinical practicum experience that helped prepare me for my present position. What was most unique about the program was “family-like bond” that the environment nurtured between the faculty and students.

Jillian Seaman
MS: Speech-Language Pathology
Class of 2003

“The faculty at La Salle’s Speech-Language-Hearing Science program do everything they can to accommodate working professionals. In addition, the SLHS courses are practical and hands-on. Class discussions, case study analysis, and assignments describe realistic diagnostic and therapeutic situations, which allowed me to put theory together with practice. The program's rigorous coursework has provided me with the academic and professional skills to become a highly qualified speech-language pathology clinical fellow with the School District of Philadelphia."
