Alternative Loans
Alternative loans are loans in a student's name with or without a cosigner depending of the credit worthiness of the student.
Because the interest rate and borrower benefits are contingent on the credit worthiness of the borrower and the cosigner La Salle cannot accurately recommend which loan would be best for the student.
La Salle has had many of our student borrow through the Sallie Mae Signature with good results and quick processing. However, the choice is ultimately up to the student.
*Please estimate the loan amount you will need to cover the balance for the full academic year. LaSalle will not process single term loans.
CitiAssist Loan for undergraduate students
- 6 month grace period
- cosigner discharges after 24 on-time payments of interest and principal
- Will process loans for students enrolled less than half time

NJCLASS Loan (only for NJ residents)
- An even lower rate with auto debit (.50% immediate reduction)
- Only a 2% loan fee
- Students or parents can borrow
- Flexible repayment options - including deferment while in school
- 20 year repayment term for the NJCLASS Fixed Rate Loan
- 25 year repayment term for the fixed rate Graduate and Professional Loan
