I chose La Salle because of how different it was compared to the town where I grew up. Where I currently live, there is a corn field across the street from me, my house is flanked by the woods on one side and a farm on the other, and my backyard is a large cow field. I wanted to go to school in the city because I knew how different it would be and at the same time it was still only about an hour away. Being a “momma’s boy” when applying to college doesn’t give you a large proximity to work with, but La Salle has delivered in more ways than I could possible state.
What has surprised me the most about La Salle is the amazing feeling of community that you are inundated with when you become a Lasallian. After coming to La Salle, I found that school spirit is everywhere and I can truly say that I bleed blue and gold (figuratively- this is not to be misconstrued as a disease that runs rampant on the campus).
