I initially looked at La Salle because of its five-year accelerated speech-pathology program, thrilled with the idea I would not have to take any GREs or go through any further application processes before my masters year. Once I came to visit campus, I knew it was perfect for me. I am from a small suburb in northern New Jersey, and La Salle was the perfect balance from being close enough to the action of the city, but I also have the ability to forget I’m in that city while on our campus. I also met some of the most friendly and welcoming faculty, staff, and students when I attended the open house.
Prior to attending La Salle, I did not realize the individualized attention I would be getting in every single class–every professor knows my name. I also did not realize I would find such a passion for community service. I have only been pleasantly surprised by attending La Salle. I have not only interacted with intelligent professors and students, but I have formed friendships with other students that will last a lifetime.
