The Department of University Events provides leadership and expert assistance for major events at La Salle University including Commencement, Opening Convocation, Homecoming and Family Weekend.
The office also works closely with university organizations for the annual awards presentations including the African American Alumni Association’s Warren E. Smith Scholarship and Awards Dinner, the Signum Fidei Awards Dinner, the President’s Reception, School of Business IT Leadership Award and the Communications Department Shining Star Award.
University Events also handles events within the Philadelphia region working with the Development Office for the Annual Charter Dinner at Normandy Farms and the President’s Cup at Blue Bell Country Club, along with various departments holding off-campus lectures and roundtables at notable establishments including the Downtown Club and Union League of Philadelphia.
University Events works closely with the Explorers’ athletic teams on the annual Athletic Auction, Hall of Athletes Induction, Blue-Chip Receptions and annual sports banquets.
The office also oversees the La Salle University web calendar of events.
