Look at the La Salle graduates who attended graduate school and you’ll find many now with PhD’s and teaching or doing research at various notable institutions throughout the country, including Yale, Boston University, Ohio State University, Jefferson Medical College and the University of Pennsylvania. Each year, an impressive number of La Salle’s biology graduates further their education by earning degrees from some of the most prestigious graduate, medical, dental and veterinary schools in the nation. Out of 729 graduates surveyed, over (47%) are now pursuing successful careers as Medical Doctors (MD) and Doctors of Osteopathy (DO), among other disciplines in the field of medicine. Our graduates can be found in virtually every area as specialists, including family physicians, pediatricians, podiatrists, orthopedic surgeons, urologists, anesthesiologists, chemists, toxicologists and cardiologists. Other La Salle biology graduates with advanced degrees in medicine or dentistry have chosen to pursue the business side of the profession. They are enjoying rewarding careers as consultants, partners in private practice, and as CEO’s, directors and other senior level positions at renowned facilities and hospitals throughout the country.
