International Students

La Salle’s Full-time MBA Program welcomes international students. Each year, more than 35 percent of the students enrolled in this program are international students.  International students need to follow the steps below to ensure that their applications are ready for review. International students are eligible for merit scholarships to cover part of their tuition and assistantships.

  • Take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and have their test scores forwarded to the Office of Graduate Admission by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), in Princeton, New Jersey, USA (1.800.257.9547), or
  • Take the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
  • Submit a Statement of Financial Responsibility Form, which may be downloaded here or obtained from the Multicultural and International Center at La Salle University.
  • Have their academic credentials from foreign institutions evaluated course-by-course by the World Education Services (wes.org) or a similar organization. The evaluation must be sent to La Salle by the agency.

Upon receipt of the documents above, candidates are interviewed (by phone or in person whenever feasible) prior to final admission decisions.

TOEFL and IELTS

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) are not required of applicants whose native language is English and applicants who have undergraduate degrees from universities in the United States. In addition, the test requirement may be waived in certain cases where English language proficiency can otherwise be demonstrated. The minimum score for the IELTS is 6.5 and the minimum scores for the TOEFL are: 230 computer-based and 88 Internet-based.

Students who do not meet our requirements for English language should contact the English Language Institute/Plus Program at La Salle regarding admission.
