After the completion of registration, a student shall be considered to be in attendance unless an official statement of withdrawal is submitted. A withdrawal form is available in the Deans' Offices, or the student may send a letter to their undergraduate evening advisor indicating the course or courses from which one is withdrawing, the reason for withdrawal, and the student’s signature. The date of filing the official statement of withdrawal will be considered the actual date of withdrawal. If that date is on or before the final date for withdrawal as published in the academic calendar, the student’s record for the course will be marked W (withdrawn). If the date of withdrawal is after the final date for withdrawal, the student’s record will be marked F (failure) unless the withdrawal has been caused by unusual circumstances and has the written approval of the Dean.
