Purpose of the Four-Year Program
The four-year Bachelor of Science Program in
Speech-Language-Hearing Science Communication Sciences and Disorders provides students with the knowledge base needed to enter a master’s program in speech-language pathology. Students acquire principles of biological science, physical science, mathematics statistics, and social/behavioral science, in addition to knowledge of the principles of basic human communication and swallowing processes. Coursework includes the biological, neurological, acoustic, psychological, developmental, linguistic, and cultural bases of basic human communication.
