Top 10 - Lamest TV Characters
Almost every TV show has one. That token character whose presence makes you feel like changing the channel. Here’s my list of the most irritatingly unnecessary TV characters. 10) Lisa Landry from Sister, Sister—Sometimes TV characters have a little too much personality, and Lisa’s loud, junk food obsessed shtick got old fast. She freeloaded off Ray by staying at his house and barely made a living selling clothes in her cart at the mall.
9) 8) J.T. Lambert from Step By Step—Listening to J.T. pick on Dana reinforced the fact that he was just an irritating stepbrother. He had no depth as a character, and the episodes when he bonded with his siblings were totally forced. 7) Greg Brady from The Brady Bunch—He’s not cute like Bobby or Peter and is rumored to have had affair with his on-screen mom in real life. That’s reason enough to put the eldest Brady on this list. 6) Logan Huntsberger from Gilmore Girls—Rory’s latest beau on Gilmore Girls never found favor with some fans. Everyone in his family is a complete snob, and even though he rebels against them, Logan’s actions are often careless and dangerous. 5) Rachel Green from Friends— Nothing against Friends, but Rachel never won me over. She’s nothing more than a whining, self-centered flake that blends into the background when the rest of the cast is on the screen. 4) Joey Potter from Dawson’s Creek—I know Joey was supposed to be a high achiever, but did it really make sense for her vocabulary to be straight out of an SAT prep book? And need I point out where Katie Holmes ended up? 3) Spencer Pratt from The Hills— Does anyone besides Heidi like this scumbag from The Hills? He broke hearts, destroyed a friendship and basically forced Heidi to move in with him. Breaking news: a Spencer-Brody spin-off is in the works. 2) Annie Camden from 7th Heaven—OK, everyone on 7th Heaven is lame, I know. But Annie is the leader of the Camden clan and their countless encounters with peer pressure, needy neighbors and school bullies. 1) Joey Gladstone from Full House—His irritating impressions, cartoon obsession and god-awful mullet just make you want to scream “cut-it-out!” Joey tops this list for being the least funny comedian on television. brodbecke1@lasalle.edu |
