D'Adamo's top five movies of 2006
5) Happy Feet Who knew that Mumble would cause such a stir because he danced? A great heroic tale of a penguin who showed that being different isnt such a bad thing. In fact, it was the best thing that could have happened, because it made this movie a hit. 4) Casino Royale I questioned whether or not another Bond movie was necessary. The answer: It was absolutely necessary. Daniel Craig provides intensity to the latest installment of James Bond, making him one of the best Bonds since Sean Connery. 3) Rocky Balboa Yo Adrian! He did it again. Despite having three awful sequels in the third, fourth and fifth installments, Stallone writes, directs and stars in this final installment of Rocky. The movie was absolutely worth watching and finally stayed true to its roots. 2) Little Miss Sunshine Little Miss Sunshine demonstrates how there is no such thing as the perfect family, and it does so with a great ensemble cast and the ability to make the audience sympathize with the characters. This movie will be a classic. 1) The Departed In addition to its script and storyline, the fact that an all-star cast can work so well together is what made The Departed perfect. If I were to make a new list of the 100 best movies, The Departed would certainly be on that list. dadamof1@lasalle.edu |
