Top 10 - Nickelodeon characters

We all grew up on Nickelodeon, and the memories we have of Stick Stickly, Clarissa, Alex Mack and Donkeylips will last for a lifetime. But which Nick characters really were the best? Any list of this stature would be incomplete without at least 50 characters, but here’s a good shot at narrowing it down to 10.

10) Lou Pickles from Rugrats — Tommy’s grandpa balanced out the kids as the biggest adult force on that show, and was also the source of many of the best jokes and rants. Plus, he’s a good guy all around.

9) Porkchop from Doug — I don’t even need to argue his inclusion on the list. He’s simply the greatest TV pet of all time.

8) Heffer Wolf from Rocko’s Modern Life — A steer who was raised by wolves, Heffer supplied the heart in the classically quirky show.

7) Torvald from Hey Arnold! — Initially a sketchy character, he turns out to be a pretty good guy, and a great running back to boot.

6) Bobby Budnick from Salute Your Shorts — Rude and crass, he was the essence of that beautiful show (i.e. the one who yelled, “It makes me wanna fart!”)

5) Kel Kimball from Kenan and Kel — Kenan may be the one who still has a career, but, back in the day, Kel was “all that” and more. Who loves orange soda? Kel loves orange soda. Is it true? Is it true? Uh-huh. I do, I do, I do, I do-ooo.

4) Eugene Krabs from Spongebob Squarepants — Mr. Krabs is such a ruthless businessman that he decides his own daughter needs to be fired.

3) Otto Rocket from Rocket Power — Is there anything that this kid can’t do? He is successful in just about everything he tries, unless it’s the Super McVarial 900.

2) Rocko from Rocko’s Modern Life — Rocko is so awesome that he doesn’t need to wear pants, even when he’s working at Kind-Of-A-Lot-O-Comics.

1) Doug Funnie from Doug — Doug is just the man. While he’s no Chalky Studebaker, nobody can compete with Doug when it comes to being a great protagonist or hanging out at the Honkerburger with his good pal Skeeter.
