Professor Randoms

Name and title: Bernadette Truhlar is an adjunct professor in the Business Department.

What classes do you teach at La Salle? Truhlar teaches BUS 205, Information Technology with Applications.

What is your hometown? She is originally from Springfield, Pa., in Delaware County.

Where did you attend college? Truhlar received her undergraduate degree in business administration from Morton College and went on to receive her master’s in industrial engineering from Penn State University.

What are some hobbies that you enjoy? In her spare time she enjoys skiing, singing and cooking gourmet food.

Is there any television show that is a must see for you? She enjoys watching the original CSI.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why? “I’ve traveled most of the world besides Asia, so that would be the one place I’d love to see,” she said. “After I retire I’m going to buy one of those around the world tickets, so there will definitely be a stop in Asia.”

What was the last movie you saw? Martin Scorsese’s The Departed was the last movie Truhlar watched.

What is your most memorable work experience? “I was working at Telefonical I+D, which is located in Madrid, Spain. While I was there I was forced to become bilingual and it gave me the opportunity to learn a new culture and live in a new place,” she said. “It was incredibly interesting to see how organizations work from a global perspective.”
