At a school like La Salle, it is easy to become a world traveler. With so many opportunities to study abroad, the ladies of St. Miguel’s A15 are proud to show off their achievements.

Covering the walls of their townhouse are flags from every country the housemates have visited, and then some.

“The flags are from everyone’s travels,” Megan McGee, a senior American Studies major said. “That’s why this house has been nicknamed IHOR - International House of Roommates.”

Just some of the countries represented are Ireland, the Czech Republic and Bermuda.

Unlike most townhouses, A15 has six roommates, though only five are currently living there. Aside from McGee, the other roommates are Sara Allen, a senior communication major, Kristin Cann, a senior history and secondary education major, Michele Muller, a senior communication and sociology major, Liz Cerkez, a junior chemistry major, and Amanda Brothman, a junior communication major.

“Currently, Michele is abroad. Next semester she’ll come back and Amanda will leave,” McGee said.

Muller is spending the semester at sea, where she is circumnavigating the globe while she attends classes.

The girls also use an innovative system in the kitchen to designate which shelf belongs to whom. McGee collects advertisements and has posted them on the shelves.

“I like peach, so that’s my shelf,” Allen said, pointing to the door with the peach ad on it.

The townhouse also has a very homey feel to it. All the furniture from La Salle is covered in the softest material possible, and, adding to the country home feel, a large striped couch sits in the corner of the living room, a donation from Brothman’s parents.

All in all, the girls of A15 have made sure that their townhouse is the one everyone wants to visit.
