If you’re looking for something fun to do this Friday with interesting people, and don’t feel like studying for finals yet, look no further than Happening Hour. This Students’ Government Association (SGA) sponsored event offers a chance for students to kick back and relax before finals week. Spotlight! sat down with Luke Bollerman, President of SGA, to find out more about it.
Spotlight: Where and when is this event taking place?
Luke Bollerman: Happening Hour is taking place on April 28, 2006, from 3:30 - 6:30 p.m. in Backstage.
SP: Who is sponsoring the event?
LB: The Students’ Government Association and University Development.
SP: Is it open to everyone, or only 21-year olds?
LB: It’s open to everyone, but La Salle identification is required, particularly for those over 21.
SP: Is there a cost for admission?
LB: No. The cost of this event is covered by the Students’ Government Association and University Development.
SP: What different activities are planned?
LB: There will be music, food, drink and an all-around good time. All of the University community is invited to join in, and we hope that many people will come out to the Happening Hour. Students are especially invited to come and meet with their new Students’ Government Association Senators and Executive Board.
SP: What should students expect at this event?
LB: Students can expect to be in a social environment with other students, teachers and administration. Happening Hour is a great opportunity for students to socialize and relax before studying hard during exam week. I hope students will come out and attend. The Students’ Government Association sponsors two Happening Hours, one in the fall semester and one in the spring.
SP: What future events is the Students’ Government Association planning?
LB: Look for a Christian Brothers’ Happening Hour in the fall which encourages students to interact with the Christian Brothers and learn more about their University community.
