BACKPAC sponsors Piebald concert
Feel like you need a little music in your life? On Sept. 22 at 7 p.m., Piebald will be performing in the Union Ballroom. Spotlight spoke with Kaylin Morrissey, one of the coordinators of BACKPAC, the student organization responsible for hosting concerts on campus, to find out more information about the show. Spotlight: Are there any opening acts, or other special things happening? Kaylin Morrissey: We will be selling pretzels and water downstairs. There will be three opening acts: Except After Sea, Little Light and Algernon Cadwallader. SP: Is Piebald a local band? Do they have a strong following at La Salle? KM: They are from Boston originally, and they have not played this area in a long time. BACKPAC believes that they have a good following at La Salle, and we are hoping that a lot of students will come out to support them! SP: How would you describe Piebald’s music? KM: I would describe their music as indie rock, as well as alternative rock. SP: How much is entry for La Salle students, and how much is it for guests? KM: As always, it will be free for La Salle students with an I.D., and $8 for non-La Salle students. SP: Is there anything else you’d like to add about the show? piebald. You can hear their music there. We are hoping that more La Salle students will come to BACKPAC shows this year, so tell your friends to get the word out! williamsk1@lasalle.edu |
