Enrollment Services VP retires after 30 years
Vice President of Enrollment Services Raymond Ricci is retiring after serving La Salle for over 30 years. Employed as Vice President of Enrollment Services since 1990, Ricci has been directly involved with recruiting students to the University and has worked to create numerous prospect pools through enrollment. He has also played an essential part in promoting education and services among the student population, and was a fundamental advocate of the Bilingual Undergraduate Studies for Collegiate Advancement (BUSCA) program. Ricci’s position as Vice President of Enrollment Services was not the only one he has held at La Salle. He also worked as academic counselor for the evening student division and was Director of University Planning and Registrar as well. “Ray Ricci has been an extraordinary asset to the University over many years,” said Provost Dr. Richard Nigro. “He was a student of the University, and his whole life has been La Salle.” Nigro is currently chairing the search committee for Ricci’s replacement. According to Nigro, the process of selecting a new Vice President of Enrollment Services may take anywhere from three to six months. Being in only the beginning stages of its endeavor, the search committee is working with a search consultant, EMA Partners International, to get word out about the available position and generate a pool of qualified applicants. Once the group of competent candidates is established, the committee will screen them and invite about three or four to campus. A day or two will be spent familiarizing them with La Salle, and further evaluation will take place. While the committee will have a role in ranking these candidates, La Salle president, Brother Michael McGinniss, will make the final decision. katsifasc1@lasalle.edu |
