Collegian Athletes of the Week

Joe Procopio Football Calvert, Md. Quarterback Junior

In a 41-13 loss at home against the Marist Red Foxes, Procopio put up pretty good numbers. He completed 16 of 19 passes for 194 yards. He passed for one touchdown and threw no interceptions. He also rushed for 37 yards on the day.

Male Honorable Mention: Senior Lou Russo had another good game for the Explorers. In the loss on Saturday, he was the go-to receiver. Russo made 11 receptions on the day for a total of 89 yards.

Kristin Hextall Soccer Voorhees, N.J. Forward Junior

Hextall had an excellent week for the women’s soccer team. She tallied 10 points in her last three games, and she was involved in all five Explorer goals over the weekend. Because of her outstanding play, Hextall was named the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for the first time in her career.

Female Honorable Mention: Freshman Rachel Stemper had a great match against the Dayton Flyers on Saturday for the volleyball team. Her 17 kills led all players, and she recorded a .412 hitting percentage in the match. Her effort was not enough, though, and the Explorers fell, three games to one.
