Lou Russo Football Marlton, N.J. Wide Receiver Senior

Russo was a huge factor in the Explorers’ win against St. Francis on Saturday. In a game that La Salle won by three points, Russo had 10 catches for a total of 90 yards on the day. His two touchdown receptions were vital to the team’s offensive production.

Male Honorable Mention: Junior Jeremy Ortiz scored the game-winning goal in the men’s soccer team’s game against the Penn Quakers last week. His header beat the Quakers’ goalie with under 10 minutes left in the game to win it for La Salle, 3-2.

Heather Barclay Soccer Staten Island, N.Y. MF/F Senior

In a double-overtime loss for the women’s soccer team, Barclay scored her second goal of the season. This gives her 30 points in her La Salle career. She is one point away from entering the all-time top-10 list for women’s soccer at La Salle.

Female Honorable Mention: In a field hockey game that went scoreless through regulation, senior Amy Comstock ended the scoring drought 3:06 into overtime. Her goal lifted the Explorers to a 1-0 victory over the Lehigh Mountainhawks.
