Saturday was senior day at Kirk Pool where the La Salle men’s swimming team defeated Duquesne, 140.5-90.5. The seniors set the pace on their day of recognition in their final home meet at La Salle. The Explorers were led by seniors Grant Chin and John Welsh, who combined for three first-place finishes.

Welsh took first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 48.58. Chin flew by his opponents in the 200-yard butterfly, capturing first place in 1:58.63. He would also place first in the 200-yard breaststroke, immediately followed by teammates David Ellerson and Chris Tiano, who finished second and third, respectively.
