Huntly Collins is our resident journalist and was an award-winning reporter for The Portland Oregonian and The Philadelphia Inquirer. Always interested in the important issues in the daily news, Huntly brings 30 years of experience as a journalist to the classroom. She is an avid book lover, and her mantra for serious journalists is to tell stories—accurately, fairly, and in a compelling way.
Huntly teaches Beginning Reporting and Writing, Community Journalism, Magazine Writing, and Professional Business Writing, where she endeavors to pass on her passion for reporting and writing.
Huntly is a New England native who grew up in Oregon.
