Profile

Sandra Camomile is a mixed media artist and an associate professor of digital art at La Salle University in the Digital Arts and Multimedia Design program.  She has a long list of solo and group exhibitions at venues such as The Corcoran Gallery, Washington D.C.; The World Women’s Conference, Beijing, China; Universidad de Caldas, Colombia, South America; and ARC Gallery, Chicago, IL as well as multiple worldwide collaborations in virtual environments.  In 2005 she was named one of the top five influential female artists of our time in the online magazine, Eve Interrupted, Miami, FL.

Camomile has had the opportunity to collaborate with young artists from the occupied territory of Palestine.  She has completed a residency funded by the Andy Warhol Foundation creating artwork in collaboration with young women from Wilmington, DE.  Over a period of 10 summers, she worked with young artists in portfolio preparations for college acceptance.

In her most recent endeavors she is exploring the filmmaking process of machinima.  Her mixed media palette includes digital painting, digital photography, animation, 3D modeling, texture mapping, and all manners of fine art studio practices including, painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation and performance art.
