We have been working with campus partners, including the library's Department of Special Collections, the University Archives, and the Explorer Connection to build a digital library that highlights the diverse research and historical context that makes La Salle such a vibrant and unique institution. Our current collections include:
| Exploring the notable former residents of Belfield estate, still extant as part of the La Salle campus, the lives of the Wister Family elaborated through a series of articles, papers, photographs and other research. Digitized letters are available from Owen Wister, the author of "The Virginian," to a variety of people, including many to George Lorimer, the former editor of the famed "Saturday Evening Post." |
The online component to our renowned Imaginative Representations of the Vietnam War collection. Digitized materials include artwork, the Vietnam Generation Journal, and research based on our collection. |
| Our yearbook, "The Explorer," has been digitized and can be accessed through online "flip books." See the first yearbook from 1940, or explore the free-wheeling 1960s, through more experimental layouts, including the infamous "Year Box."
