If you choose to apply on-line
Please notify your Certifying Official, 215.951.1020 or dogtags@lasalle.edu, when you have completed your VA benefits form, and communicate the semester you will begin your studies. Sending a copy of your completed benefits form to the Office of the University Registrar, BOX 818, 1900 W Olney Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19141, so that it may be kept in your file, is appreciated.

Transfer of Chapter 33 Entitlement (Department of Defense Benefit):
Service members desiring to transfer Post-9/11 GI Bill entitlement should be directed to the GI Bill Web site at http://www.gibill.va.gov/GI_Bill_Info/CH33/Transfer.htm and the Department of Defense web site at http://www.defenselink.mil/home/features/2009/0409_gibill/. They may find information on transferability of entitlement and will be able to make application to transfer benefits if they meet the eligibility requirements. The following document contains helpful steps on transferring your entitlement http://www.defense.gov/home/features/2009/0409_gibill/Transferability%20Process.doc.Once the service members has completed the application process with the Department of Defense, the spouse and/or dependent children who have received the transferred benefit must apply to the VA for the benefit utilizing VA Form 22-1990E. The student receiving the transferred benefit may complete the VA From 22-1990E on-line by scrolling to the bottom of this web site: http://www.gibill.va.gov/GI_Bill_Info/CH33/Transfer.htm or they can download a paper 22-1990E. Once the spouse or dependent student has received a Certificate of Eligibility for transferred entitlement from the VA, the Certificate must be sent to the school certifying official (fax 215-951-1785) who will certify the enrollment of the student using the student’s social security number.
