Profile

Dr. Rhoda received a B,S. in Business Economics from Utica College of Syracuse University.  Upon graduation, he worked as an Economic Analyst at Eastman Kodak Corporation in Rochester, NY.  He then left Kodak to attend graduate school and received an M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from SUNY Buffalo.  He began his academic career in 1977 in the Economics Department at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.  He came to La Salle University in 1981 as a member of the Finance Department.  He served as Department Chair for four years and is currently an Associate Professor of Finance.

Dr. Rhoda currently teaches undergraduate and MBA courses in Financial Markets, Financial Institution Management, and Investment Analysis.  In addition, he occasionally teaches a course in Global Financial Services which involves travel to London.  He also is the advisor to the University’s Investment Club.

Dr. Rhoda’s research interests include financial markets, especially those involving mortgages, and market efficiency, particularly in wagering markets.  Recent publications appeared in The Real Estate Review, Real Estate Finance Journal, Journal of Bank Marketing, The Journal of Financial Research and others.
