General Direct Unsubsidized Eligibility for Graduate and Doctoral Students

Borrower Eligibility:
Students must be a US citizen or permanent resident enrolled at least half time (for graduate students this means at least 3 graduate level credits in a semester at La Salle), and must not be in default on any education loan or owe a refund on an education grant. A student must also be fully accepted to be eligible for a Direct loan, conditionally accepted student are not eligible for Direct Loan borrowing.

Yearly limit	$20,500
Maximum total debt (Graduate level)	$138,500 combined with previous subsidized borrowing
Maximum total debt (Doctoral level)	$224,000 combined with previous subsidized borrowing
