Loans for Students in Pre-Med and Pre-Speech

Loans for Students in the Pre-Med and Pre-Speech Therapy Bridge Programs

Students pursuing the Pre-Med and Pre-Speech Therapy Bridge Programs are considered fifth year undergraduate students for the purposes of the Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans.

Students in these programs must be enrolled for 6 credits in a semester to be eligible for Direct Loans with subsidized and unsubsidized annual borrowing limits. The subsidized portion is based on a student’s need.

Direct Loan eligibility for these programs is limited to 12 consecutive months of borrowing. Eligibility for these Direct Loans is also restricted by undergraduate Direct Loan aggregate limits.

Pre-Med or Pre-Speech Program students are also able to borrow alternative loans.
